Fake Plastic Trees

On a camping trip to Whidbey Island back in July, I saw these on a walk through a little forested area. I think they are plastic. No, really, what the hell are they? Fungi?

I'm back

It's been a while but I'm back. Lots of things have happened!

• I'm trying to prepare for this super-huge exam I'll be taking in October, called the ominous General Exam. It's basically the last hurdle before my dissertation.
• I'm sadly single again :(
• art show is coming up on Sept 1, First Thursday. Title is F(r)iction.
• I'm quitting the studio. It costs too much and I never get down there. I'm still gonna be making shirts though, and maybe other stuff too.
• My long-time friend Geno moved from LA to Seattle and is staying with me until his *floater* status changes.
