I became a bit obsessed with ceilings early on in my trip, apparently. Above is the ceiling of the trolley. Below is the ceiling of the restaurant "King's Palace," where David Bowen was playing. I was like "David Bowie's playing!" um, no.
This is scary Jenna at a restaurant called "Beauty Shop." It was formerly... a beauty parlor, and they kept those crazy hair dryers. Very cute.I think Jenna needs an exorcism or something.

Site of Martin Luther King's assassination, the Lorraine Motel.Hard to believe that segregation was still going on in the South in the 60s. Apparently this was one of the only hotels that would house a Black person! Now it has been turned into a museum. You can see the room he stayed in, and also tour the building across the street, where he was likely shot from.
